Meet Our Tourism Advisors

Anna

Hi there, I am a returning Tourism Advisor here in Kindersley, as well as a creative. I was born and raised in town, it is a nice to be home over the summer. This is my last work term before I will be finished my Visual Communications Degree with Medicine Hat College. My passions vary from photography, design, and videography, to printmaking, sculpture, and painting. I am looking forward to furthering my skills in illustration and graphic design throughout my time here. I am also excited to keep meeting people from around the world and spend some time at the lake. My favourite tourist destination in Kindersley is the Motherwell Reservoir walking trail. There is always something to take a photo of or be inspired by, it is good exercise as well. I love being within nature and many of my personal pieces include images you may see at the walking trail.

Kerry

Hello, I am Kerry Hammel and I have been a resident of Kindersley since 1983. I moved here from Calgary, met my husband Vern and put down roots in the community. We lived in Kindersley until 1999. We moved to Netherhill with our three children Adam, Kyla and Raymond.

Now that they have grown and after the last downturn in the oilfield we discussed my going back to school. I decided to take Travel and Tourism at SAIT. Travel has been a passion of mine for a few years now. I have three bucket lists on the go and am slowly checking things off. I enjoy planning vacations and speaking with people.

I am enjoying school. I am in the process of getting my certification for the reservation system that is used in most agencies. I started swimming at college as they have a very nice pool. It is my favourite exercise. I am looking forward to the pool being open in Kindersley.

Now that I have returned from my study tour of Europe and all the fantastic sights and food I am looking forward to spending time with family which includes 4 very wonderful grand children. I am looking forward to working at the Tourist Centre for the summer. It will give me more of an insight into what tourism means for a community and to put into practice what I have learned this past year.
